Are you a provincial public sector worker in
We are researchers, educators, and community members, Nisha Nath (Athabasca University) and Willow-Samara Allen (Royal Roads University). We do work with current and former provincial public sector workers to understand their experiences in pushing towards change in contexts marked by systemic racism, white settler colonialism, EDI backlash, and increasing AI usage & surveillance.
In our interviews, we would love to be in conversation with you about how public sector workers exercise their decision-making power to impede, disrupt, or further entrench the work of the state.
You’re eligible if…
You work or have worked in the provincial public sector in Alberta, B.C. or Ontario
and
You work or worked in sectors of Health, Children and Family Services or Education (K-12 and post-secondary).
Your participation would involve:
filling out a short online questionnaire
participating in two online interviews between 60-90 minutes each
you will be interviewing between June and late September 2026
Your confidentiality and anonymity will be protected throughout this process.
All participants will receive a gift card as a way to thank you for your time, expertise and participation.
