Advisory Group

One of the important critiques of academic research is that it doesn’t translate into practice. A core part of why we formed this advisory group is to challenge this dynamic.

Comprised of 4 members who collectively hold a vast breadth and depth of knowledge and expertise navigating the sectors of health, education and/or child and family services, the group plays a core role in this research by sharing feedback on key study design and data collection components, and suggestions on the most impactful ways to share and mobilize this research.

By engaging with the advisory group members and being accountable to their grounded and vast experience and knowledge, we want to translate this work into practice and connect with broader networks that challenge white settler colonialism along with other forms of systemic marginalization and oppression.
