We are grounded in:

animation of light green vines with leaves swaying gently

An ethos that is oriented towards modalities of knowing, learning, and feeling that emerge through political organizing and community. We are interested in that which exceeds the boundaries of the university and other white settler institutions;

A commitment to do this work without presuming the futurity of settler colonial institutions of government. We take seriously the provocation of Jarrett Martineau and Eric Ritskes (2014) that we move “...not simply away from colonialism, but away from any standpoint where colonialism makes sense” (p. iv) because there are many peoples for whom colonialism has indeed never made sense and has been steadfastly refused;

The imperative of structuring accountability into this project to ensure that we find generative ways to share what we learn; and,

squiggly black line

The invitation/anticipation of change through our orientation to antiracist and anticolonial interventions as pedagogically disruptive, generative, and promising.
